The Plett Street Mile aims to create a world-class street mile event in Plett along similar lines as the 5th Avenue Street Mile in New York.

Currently, the Eden Street Mile Series, which has been run for 14 years, has events in Oudtshoorn and Hartenbos. Plett is set to become the third event and the crown jewel in the series.

Start outside Beacon Island Resort and proceed along Beacon Isle Drive. Past Kwikspar and the circle, turning right into Central Beach car park to the finish.

This unique event is aimed at showcasing Plett and all its beauty and will bring many top local and hopefully international athletes to our town. It is further aimed to have the event broadcast on as many platforms as possible, benefiting the town and local businesses.
