The magic behind the meals is Anna Ridgewell, a Private Chef with a distinguished culinary past. Trained at the renowned Silwood School of Cookery, Anna spent nearly nine years as the Executive Chef at the world-famous Londolozi Game Reserve, mastering the art of high-quality, bespoke dining.
Anna's own Plett story began in 2020 when a brief holiday turned into a life-changing eight-week lockdown "soul rest." She quickly realised that Plett was her happy place, leading her to resign from the bush and start a new venture from her home kitchen. What began with a few comforting chicken pies for friends has organically blossomed into the celebrated business it is today.
Step Into 'Mom's Kitchen' in Village Square
The new shop location in Village Square, directly below the Plett Getaways office, is as unique and charming as the food. It's not a typical closed-off shop front; it’s an open kitchen centred around a long, family-style table.
The atmosphere is instantly welcoming—it feels less like a retail space and more like you've walked into your own mom's kitchen to pick up a meal prepared with love and care. This experience is thanks to Anna and her incredible team: Sam and Rochelle, who have been with Anna since the beginning, are the "sugar and spice" of the operation. This tight-knit family is dedicated to providing high-quality, personal attention that keeps over 700 regular customers coming back.
