Plett Wine Bubbly Festival

Toast to Two Decades: The 20th Anniversary Plett Wine & Bubbly Festival

There is a specific kind of magic found in the Plettenberg Bay winelands. It's that blend of salty sea air, sun-soaked vines, and the effortless hospitality of the Garden Route. This May, that "Plett feeling" reaches a historic milestone as we celebrate 20 years of Plett Wine of Origin.

Whether you are a seasoned connoisseur or just looking for a sophisticated day out, the 2026 festival at Kay & Monty Vineyards promises to be the highlight of the autumn season.

20 Years in the Making

What began 25 years ago as an experimental venture into coastal viticulture has matured into a world-class wine route. In 2006, the region officially received its Wine of Origin (WO) status—a prestigious designation that guarantees the vintage, variety, and geographic soul of every bottle produced here.

From the first vines planted in Harkerville and The Crags to the inaugural festival launch in 2014, the journey has been defined by grit and passion. Today, Plett is synonymous with boutique excellence, particularly our award-winning Method Cap Classique (MCC) bubblies.

Don't miss out on this milestone celebration. Grab your tickets, book your Plett Getaways accommodation, and get ready to raise a glass to 20 years of exceptional local pour.
