PAWS celebrates the 10th anniversary of Plett Open Gardens day on 12 November.

Local garden lovers can look forward to the next Plett Open Garden Day when PAWS celebrates the 10th anniversary of this annual event.  Four lovely gardens will be showcased on Saturday 12 November, against the backdrop of Plett’s spectacular views over mountains, lagoon and ocean.

Featured along some of the most magnificent gardens in Plettenberg Bay, This year's event will also feature La Camargue’s Garden.

Designed & Constructed by Graham von Hoesslin, co-owner of GvH Landscapes, named as the best in landscape design and construction at the South African Landscapers Institute (SALI) awards in June 2022.  The Garden is an oasis on Beachy head Drive with vast plant variety, pathways, and lush lawns.

La Camargue | Lush Oasis on Beacy Head Drive

This event consistently draws a sizable crowd of guests from the Garden Route, even as far away as George. Despite a very cold wind in 2020, more than 250 people had a good day and donated R40,000 to PAWS (Plett Animal Welfare Service).

The Plett Animal Welfare Service and Ouland Royale on Airport Road will once more collaborate to host the PAWS Plant and Cake Sale. Quality nursery plants, at affordable prices, will be on sale. Visitors will be able to enjoy coffee, tea and scones at Ouland between visiting gardens.

The four featured gardens this year are:

  • La Camargue, Du Plessis Garden, cnr Longstone and Beachy Head Drive
  • Wood and van Straaten Gardens, Whale Rock Ridge Estate
  • and Fichardt garden, Brackenridge Estate.
