This family-friendly 10-day festival will feature an array of exciting events in one of the most picturesque towns in South Africa, just a short drive from Plettenberg Bay. There is truly something for everyone, from adventurers and sports lovers, to kids of all ages and holidaymakers.

The 2022 Knysna Oyster Festival kicks off with the renowned Knysna Cycle Tour on 2 and 3 July. The Featherbed Trail Run and the Open Rapid Chess Tournament will also take place on Saturday 2 July. Start off the day on the right foot with the Garden Route Trail Park Sunrise Run in the Garden Route Trail Park on Sunday 3 July and then book your spot for the Off Road Adventure Into Back of Beyond on Old Cap Road later on in the day.

The following weekend, sports lovers will delight in the KnysnaX Trail Series Winter Run on Saturday 7 July, the Oyster Better Ball Champtionship at Knysna Golf Club on 8 July, the 37th Knysna Forest Marathon on Saturday 9 July, and last, but not least, the Houtkapper Trail Run in Rheenendal on Sunday 10 July. Perfect for wine-afficiandos, the Knysna Wine Festival will take place from 8 – 9 July at Premier Resort The Moorings.
