This year, the festival continues to enchant visitors with its much-loved events like Plett Food and Film and the Plett Arts Twilight Meander. These events, including the new addition of the African Wave Arts Festival, showcase the fantastical and whimsical, pushing boundaries and captivating the senses in the embrace of Plettenberg Bay's natural beauty.


The festival kicks off on September 29th with the Plett Arts Twilight Meander, a celebratory opening held along Plett's Main Street. From Dolphin Circle to Whale Wire Sculpture, galleries, pop-ups, restaurants, and sidewalks come alive, inviting you to explore the vibrant art scene of the town.


A highlight of the festival is the Plett Food & Film event. This year's feature is the Academy Award-winning film "Cinema Paradiso," complemented by an al-fresco Italian feast. The magic continues with a musical performance by baritone Mike Bayibhile, fresh from his run at the Berlin Opera Academy - A sensory treat not to be missed.


Embracing the connection between art and nature, the Plett Arts Festival SPARK Land Art Route returns, showcasing natural artworks that seamlessly blend with the environment. Discover these ephemeral creations at locations such as Piesang River mouth, Central Beach, Hobie Beach, Wedge Beach, Lookout Beach, Lookout Peninsula, and even extending into the forest and fynbos-scapes.
