The ‘World’s Toughest Inflatable Boat Challenge’ starts every year on 28 December at Hobie Beach, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa.

It is a fast-paced, action-packed water sports event with over 30 inflatable boats battling it out in the waves. This 4-day race will visit beaches along the coast between Nature’s Valley and Gordon’s Bay, where the race will finish on the 31st December 2022.

The Trans Agulhas Challenge is a world-class event, hosted every year by Agulhas Inflatable Boat Club (AIBC). This event tests the man, boat and machine, and there is no other event on the racing calendar quite like it.
